Professor Renata Gomes is CEO for Police Care UK, the leading UK charity supporting Police harmed during their service. Her appointment signals a new chapter for Police Care UK, as complex health needs relating to Police Trauma are now the largest area of the charity's support. Renata focus is to become the powerhouse for understanding police health and restoring lives through translational research and innovations leading to evidence-based policy and practise. Police Care are trialling innovative treatment solutions including applications of artificial intelligence (AI). Previously Renata was Chief Scientific Officer for the Blind Veterans UK Group.
